What does it mean?

I titled this doodle 'Self'. Not sure why? Didn't really think about it, but it seemed like a good fit at the time. The more I stare at this doodle the more it makes me wonder. "Why did I draw this? What does it mean?"

Diagnose me psychosis. This is a doodle I did about 2 years ago. One of my favorites. I have no idea what it means or why I drew it. Many times these doodles just come out like 'Brain Droppings'. No real sense to them just dark morsels from the recesses of my mind that spill out onto paper.

So I figured it would be fun to see what you guys think. What do you think it might mean? Any insightful comments regarding my doodle? What say you Dr. Freud?

What it means is that I'm the first commenter!!! That really shouldn't be a thrill...
Interesting illustration though. I'm guessing it was pretty warm that day? Nice hairy frame you've incorporated. I'm sure something could be read into the little sticks holding it up. And those random bits of hair. I'm tempted to cross-reference everything with some psychoanalysis info... maybe another time...

Sorry the first comment was so lame. But I'm first!! :p

to me this looks like someone has just escaped from hell by burrowing up through the earth and happened to pop up on a golf course.

Maybe you were feeling like you just got away with something sneaky, or got something you didn't deserve when you drew it ;-)

In my professional opinion, this sketch means trouble. I think it also signifies that you need to by some razors.

Wizzo pad, Von. Have fun with it while it lasts!

Well Vonter...i have to say that this picture reminds me of an incident you had on the golf course when you began hitting the ground viciously with your golf club. You played that day like a man without hands, while someone next to you was on fire...Maybe the sticks holding you up signify the only clubs you like to hit.

Or maybe your mind is just far too complex for any mere mortal to understand.

In any case, i like your blog and your poopy pants story alot.

Psychoanalysis:
A doodle can reveal your true feelings because you are sketching without constraints. Your self-portrait reveals that you don't think of yourself as attractive. Your monstrously featured face is framed by your twig-like limbs which are stubbled and naked with warty, fingered protrusions. The profile is spoiled by the second eye socket lurching over your nose reminiscent of the uncomfortable asymmetric feeling one gets from seeing a flounder with both eyes on one side of it's head. The stink marks surrounding you reveal your lack of personal hygiene. The flame in the hole suggests a recent burning poop and the desolate environment means you feel completely lost.

On the bright side, you try to present a smiling picture of yourself, despite your feelings of ugliness, insecurity and inferiority. You accept your plight!

There. Feel better?

The fact that u placed yourself within a frame in such a goofy and disgusting manner says that u feel like your life is a joke; that what u do is insignificant. Maybe you feel like you are fooling people. You are at a point in your life where you are suddenly realizing the reality of who you are and you feel like you have done things in your life that have made you seem weird to people and that by doing these things in your past you now feel like you are from another planet.

That sounds plausible to me! I'll go with that.
